Obituary for Alton Stephen Bradshaw

Alton Stephen Bradshaw went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 22, 2018, in Brady, Texas.  Chapel Services will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Heritage Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.  Visitation will follow the services at the chapel.

Alton was born to Alton B. and Johnnie B. (Davis) Bradshaw on January 9, 1950.  Alton lived in Brady throughout his life and was a Baptist.  He had a passion for the Bradshaw family reunions where he spent many hours frying fish for the family for the past 30 years.  Another event that Alton looked forward to each year was the World Championship BBQ Goat Cook-Off where he and his team, 3-B and Company, had won many awards over the years.  These awards included the World Championship, Superbowl Champs as well as Mystery Meat Champs.  These were very special times that he spent with his team members, his cousin Charlie Bradshaw, his longtime best friend Blake Box as well as many family and friends.  Alton loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  His life long dream was to move to the Texas coast and be able to fish daily in the gulf.  Alton also enjoyed sports.  If given the opportunity he would be watching sports either in person or on the television.  Alton loved to tell his stories in great detail.  If he could find an open ear he was telling a story.  These will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his mother, Johnnie B. Bradshaw of San Angelo, Texas, 2 sisters, Janice Timms of San Angelo, Texas and Beth Taylor and husband Merle of Snyder, Texas, one niece Nikki Timms and three nephews, Joshua Timms and wife Krista, Jeremy Timms and wife Courtney and Brandon Taylor and wife Rhanda.  Having no immediate family he had developed a deep love and devotion for his niece and nephews.  Also very special to his heart were his great nieces and nephews, Scarlet, Amelia, Raiden, KJ, Caison, Jaxon and Holden.

He is preceded in death by his father, Alton B. Bradshaw on May 25, 2007.
