Obituary for Clara Zamora (Saucedo)
Clara Saucedo Zamora went to meet her Savior, January 5, 2018. She was born on April 18, 1952 to Abel and Catarina Saucedo. Clara married the love of her life John Zamora in 1967. They were married 48 years at the time of his death in 2015.
Clara is survived by 4 daughters; Vanessa Zamora, Odie Zamora, Maddy Zamora and Josh Salas, Marcy Castleberry and husband Joe, and one son John “Chuco” Zamora and Georgette Rendon all of Menard, 15 grandchildren; Fabian Suniga, Brittany Wallace, Mariah Ruiz, Sebastian Salas, Jasper Salas, Jonas Sanchez, Jace Carlile, Zoe Castleberry, Tatum Ruiz, Harlie Castleberry, Sabri Ruiz, Julius Ruiz, Marlee Salas, River Salas & Ruger Castleberry, 1 Great grandson Derek John Williams. She is also survived by, 9 brothers and sisters, Dora Valdez, Gloria and Husband Sam Gonzales, Mario and Elida Saucedo, Robert and wife Julia Saucedo, Abel and wife Bessie, Nina and husband Rudy Rodriquez, Alice and husband Armando Hernandez, Roger and wife Janie Saucedo, Eloy and wife Annette Saucedo. Clara loved her children and family more than life itself. Not only did she raise her 5 children she also had 15 foster children and helped raise 2 of her nieces Nicole Zamora and Cassie Sanchez.
Her favorite pass time was going shopping at resale stores. Clara was a member of Sacred Heart Church and Guadalupana. She and her sister-in-law had a cleaning business C & B for many years in Austin till they moved to Menard in 1993. Clara lived in Fort McKavett in her younger years and every summer her parents and siblings traveled to Kansas to work the fields., that’s how she and John met.
Clara is preceded in death by her parents and husband John.
