John M. Clark, 88, of Cherokee, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 in Llano, Texas.
John was born on January 31, 1929 in Pleasant Valley, Texas to John M. Clark and Nora (Seay) Clark. He spent most of his life in sales. He was known as Doodle or the Jokester to most of his friends and family. John married Margie Carpenter Fry on August 25, 1984 in Bertram, Texas. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed a simple life in Cherokee with his family. He was known as Papa Doodle to his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Margie L. Clark of Cherokee, Texas; 3 daughters: Carolyn Peterka of Burnet, Tx., Susan Long and husband, Billy, of Moulton, Texas and Gwyn Whited and husband, David, of Austin, Texas; 2 step-sons: Phillip Fry and wife, Nicki, of Cherokee, Texas and David Fry and wife, Brenda, of Cherokee, Texas; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren
He is preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters and 2 grandchildren.
